Being in Kappa Alpha Pi is a lifelong decision. Our brotherhood lasts far past our undergraduate experience. We have alumni that are studying at top law schools in the nation, practicing attorneys, legislative workers, and much more! Here are a few of our amazing alums!
Mac Burns
Mac is the founder of the Eta chapter of Kappa Alpha Pi. He attended the University Of Miami School Of Law on a full tuition dean's merit scholarship. He was in a JD program called BILT (Business Innovation Law and Technology) which focuses on Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurial law. He is currently in associate attorney at Vandeveer Garzia, PC.
Natalie Holland
Natalie graduated from MSU with degrees in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy and History, along with a minor in African American and African Studies. In her time in Kappa Alpha Pi, she served as the Service Chair, the Treasurer, and eventually the President. She has previously worked as a legislative aide for Representative Edward J. Canfield, and is now a Opioid Policy Analyst for the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services.
Jessica Lee
Jessica was a student at Cooley Law in Lansing. Her fellow classmates happened to be a lot of former KAPi members, including many from the Alpha pledge class! Jessica has worked for the Public Defenders Office in Ann Arbor, working primarily on juvenile cases. She has also worked at the Elder Law Clinic and helped to prepare and execute wills and guardianship reviews. She now lives in Guam and works in the Prosecution Division of the Office of the Attorney General of Guam!
Brooklyn Braun
Brooklyn graduated from MSU with Bachelor's Degrees in Political Science - Prelaw and Communications. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Political Science with a focus on Comparative Gender Politics from CU Denver.
Lauren Walson
At MSU, Lauren graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English - Prelaw. She is currently a 2L at the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Law. She says that the experience hasn't been too scary!
Evan Hebert
Evan graduated summa cum laude from MSU Law in May 2018 and was officially sworn in as an attorney in November 2018. He is working in the litigation practice group at Clark Hill PLC in Birmingham, MI. Additionally, his research on police reform was published by the Texas Tech Journal of International Law.
Joe Greene
Joe graduated from Michigan State with a Bachelor’s Degree focused in Political Science-Prelaw in December 2018. He currently serves as a Legislative Aide to State Representative Andrea Schroeder at the Michigan House of Representatives. He credits his experience in Kappa Alpha Pi as being instrumental in reaching his current position and angling him toward his future aspirations.
Kellie Tinskey
Kellie was the former Rush Chair of Kappa Alpha Pi. She is currently in her first year at Wayne State Law School, and was recently elected Professional Development Chair of their Women's Law Caucus. Last summer, she worked at a global corporate immigration law firm. She is thankful that Kappa Alpha Pi connected her with attorneys and former KAPi members in the Detroit area.
